Poonawatta The Centenarian Single Barrel Reserve Shiraz, made only in exemplary years, draws from the winery's original 1880 plantings of Shiraz. The fruit is carefully handpicked.

After open fermentation, the wine is aged in a single fine grained French oak barrique for 30 months. It is bottled unfiltered, then allowed to develop for a further six years before release. Only tiny quantities are ever made.

Deep red, Poonawatta The Centenarian Single Barrel Reserve Shiraz is full bodied with dense sweet fruit flavours and supple tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
